Hans and I ventured our way over to our favorite neighborhood in Charlotte, NoDa!! I adore NoDa. It has a funky artsy hippy vibe and is thriving with laughter, fun restaurants, bars and let’s not forget.. my favorite place in the world, Amelie’s. By the time we parked and walked down to where the street starts, [...] My mommy is here! My mommy is here! I am SO happy to show my mom, brother, grandma and great aunt around Charlotte!!! My grandma has been here once before when we first moved here but it is the FIRST time that my mom and brother have been to the east coast (not counting [...] Good morning! I am seriously overwhelmed by all of your sweet comments on my last post. It seems that most of us have struggled with food and our body image at some point in our lives. It makes me feel so much better that other beautiful, strong women have had the same negative feelings and thoughts [...] I had an amazing day yesterday I can’t wait to tell you all about it! It all started with a delicious cereal breakfast. 1/2 cup honey sunshine, 1/2 cup cheerios, 1/2 cup cinnamon puffins, blueberries and soy milk. Unfortunately, Sunday was our last day in Charleston. I wish we would have had a little bit more time to explore the city more but hey, it gives Hans and I a reason to go back! We woke up [...] Saturday was super hot in Charleston. I’m talking about the minute you step outside, you feel like you are walking into a cloud of humidity. It was seriously hard to breathe at times. Despite the weather, day 2 in Charleston was fantastic! I fell in love with the city’s old Southern homes, beautiful greenery and [...] Hi! We’re here!!! Charleston is absolutely beautiful! I thought that Charlotte had the whole “Southern charm” thing going on but it doesn’t even compare to Charleston. It is a lovely city resting on the bay. I love the fact that it’s a walking city too. You can literally walk anywhere once you are in the center [...] Hi! I have a little extra time this morning so I wanted to write a post before I left. I am going to register for classes today! woo hoo… I am excited about that! Moving on… Dinner on Saturday night was pretty low-key. I made an egg sammie on a sandwich thin smeared with light miracle whip, [...] I had a pretty awesome lunch today! I have learned to be creative with my packed lunches… that’s what living 25+ miles away from the office will do to a girl. I made a mixture of canned tuna, chickpeas, edamame and cottage cheese. I brought along some steamed broccoli as well but I will spare you [...] Good evening! Did every one have a good weekend? I sure did! We got to show around a Swedish friend.
